Why was I directed off of SpaceTravelerGifts.com to make a purchase?

We affiliate with other companies to help keep the cost of items low, for you, our space travelers. Off Planet Research is a company that supplies our simulant, and we use other sites, like teespring.com to collect unique items all in one place.

My seed didn't sprout. What do I do now?

We recommend that you carefully scrape away the simulant atop of the failed seed and remove it from the pot. Following the instruction in the booklet, prep a new seed and plant in the same pot.

What makes the simulant in the Kit like the Moon?

The Moon is made up of primarily two types of materials, basalt and anorthosite. Depending on the mixture of these two materials, the color of the surface of the Moon changes. Highland, the lighter areas of the Moon, have a 70% Anorthosite to 30% Basalt ratio, while Mare, the darker areas of the Moon, have 90% Basalt to 10% Anothosite ratio.

Can I purchase the Beans on the Moon Kit or Lunar Pens in stores?

Yes. Currently, Washington State is the only state that has stores that stock these items. Please check out our Local Retailers with STG Products page for an updated list of local stores.
